AXTA - Axalta Coating CEO Bryant to depart effective August 31

Axalta Coating Systems ( NYSE: AXTA ) said Tuesday that Robert Bryant will step down as President and CEO to pursue other opportunities, effective August 31.

The board names Rakesh Sachdev, an independent director and former CEO of Platform Specialty Products Corp. and Sigma-Aldrich Corp., will become interim CEO on that date.

Bryant joined Axalta ( AXTA ) as CFO in 2013 when the company was first carved out of DuPont and was named President, CEO and Director in 2018.

Axalta ( AXTA ) also reported Q2 earnings, which topped Wall Street analysts as sales rose 9% Y/Y to $1.23B .
