NYT - Axel Spring is said in talks to acquire Axios - report

German media company Axel Springer (AXELF) is said in talks to purchase Axios.Exact details of the acquisition weren't immediately known and a deal could still fall apart, according a report from The Information.  Axel Springer also owns Business Insider.The report comes after a late March dispatch that Axios and the Athletic reportedly discussed a merger and considered a SPAC deal. Earlier this month, the WSJ reported that the New York Times (NYT) may be interested in a tie with sports media company the Athletic after a potential deal with Axios didn't happen.Recall March 10, SPAC 890 5Th Avenue gains on report of deal to take Buzzfeed public.
