AXS - AXIS Capital authorizes buyback of $100M common stock

AXIS Capital Holdings' (NYSE:AXS) board of directors approve the repurchase of up to $100M of its common stock, which could be affected in open market or privately held negotiated transactions through Dec. 31 of next year, the company says. The timing of the repurchases will depend on market conditions and corporate and regulatory considerations. In addition, the board declares a dividend of $34.375 per Series E 5.50% preferred share, which is payable on Jan. 18, 2022, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 30, 2021. Earlier, AXIS Capital declares $0.43 dividend.
