BancorpSouth Bank ([[BXS]] -1.1%) has renewed its strategic business alliance with Liberty Financial Services, the holding company of Liberty Bank and Trust Company.Under this strategic mentor-bank relationship, BancorpSouth will continue to provide certain advisory services to Liberty, including guidance on loan originations; recommendations for talent recruitment, associate training and development; strategies for the design, development and implementation of new banking products and services; and advice on information technology management.Additionally, BancorpSouth Bank's $8.5M investment in Liberty has been renewed and extended in the form of non-cumulative perpetual preferred stock initially issued in 2016.The deal strengthens Liberty's ability to make commercial loans and offer other banking and financial solutions to its customers.Previously (June 18): Davidson upgraded BancorpSouth Bank's shares to buy on brighter outlook.Press Release
