- In three installments from January 17-31, 2022, Barron's Weekly published their annual Roundtable (BRT22) stock picks from ten investment experts. Of 53 selected, 34 pay dividends and four of those are primed to buy.
- The top-10 BRT22 showed net gains ranging from 21.65%-51.84% by MSCI, CCEP, CNHI, MTN, AMAT, DAN, SONY, CIVI, VIAC, and TV. Technology and healthcare sectors led; real estate went missing.
- Top-10 BRT22 by yield were CCEP; VIAC; SIEGY; PFE; CIVI; HCMLY; BBSEY, SRLN; DIISF; HTGC.
- Prices of four of the BRT22 (listed by yield) made the possibility of owning productive dividend shares from this collection more viable for first-time investors. The four promise ideal dividend returns with dividends from $1k invested exceeding their single share prices.
- $5k invested in the five lowest-priced of the 10 top-yield BRT22 showed 41.89% more net gain than from $5k invested in all 10. Low-priced stocks solidly led the BRT22 in January.
