BAYRY - Bayer's kidney disease drug Kerendia gets approval in China

China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approved Bayer's ( OTCPK:BAYRY ) ( OTCPK:BAYZF ) Kerendia (finerenone) to treat chronic kidney disease (CKD) associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in adults, to reduce the risk of sustained eGFR decline and end-stage kidney disease.
The German company said the NMPA approval was backed by data from a phase 3 trial called FIDELIO-DKD.
Kerendia is already approved in the U.S. EU and Japan.
