Joshua Roberts/Getty Images News President Joe Biden on Thursday afternoon acknowledged that the White House had reached a bipartisan infrastructure deal worth nearly $953 billion. The framework will include $559 billion in new spending. President Biden told reporters, "We have a deal," after a meeting with the group of 21 senators who were negotiating. Per CNBC, $312B will be put towards transportation, $109B invested in roads, bridges, and other significant projects. $66B goes towards passenger and freight rail and $49B in public transit. Additionally, $266B will be put towards non-transportation infrastructure, including investments in power, broadband, and clean water. Furthermore, only $15B will go toward electric vehicle infrastructure.
