CNK - Big cinema chains dropping masking for vaccinated moviegoers
With the movie mood getting more upbeat into a holiday weekend, major cinema chains are dropping months-long COVID-19 requirements for all patrons to wear masks. Chains including [[AMC]], Regal (owned by Cineworld (CNNWF)) and Cinemark (CNK) will no longer require fully vaccinated customers to wear masks, but they will be "strongly encouraged" for all other guests (who will still be allowed to remove masks when eating and drinking in the theater). The theaters will continue to observe other COVID-19 safety guidelines on cleaning, seat blocking and social distancing, and they will require employees to wear masks. AMC fell 1.5% during the regular session today - breaking a new four-day winning streak the stock was on. Unlike the recent eight-day winning streak, this time the stock rose by double digits each of the first four days of this week, finishing 116% higher than a week ago. It's up 1,150% in 2021,
