BRDS - Bird to expand scooter fleet in Rome after securing new permit

E-scooter transportation company Bird ( NYSE: BRDS ) said Friday it was awarded a new three-year permit in Rome that includes expansion of its services throughout the city.
The new permit will allow the company to more than double its current fleet size to about 4,500 scooters.
Bird said it plans to upgrade its fleet to offer new models of micro-electric vehicles.
