BX - Blackstone Anthem K Health team up for digital-first healthcare joint venture

Funds managed by Blackstone (BX) Growth and K Health form a joint venture, backed by an investment from Anthem (ANTM), to help increase access to healthcare services and make them more affordable in the U.S.Financial terms of the joint venture weren't disclosed.The agreement includes a put/call structure between Anthem and Blackstone.Named Hydrogen Health, the joint venture will aim to reduce healthcare costs by using K Health's artificial intelligence technology to bring digital-first healthcare to employer and consumer markets.It will develop solutions for direct-to-consumer, direct-to-employer, and direct-to-insurers markets and aims to give users access to care, whether it be digital, virtual, or in-person.
