BBAVF - Blackstone in talks with Signature Aviation on £3B deal - FT

Blackstone (BX) is in talks with Signature Aviation (BBAVF) for a possible takeover that would value the U.K. private jet company's equity at more than £3B ($4.1B), the Financial Times reports.Signature provides bases and service for private jets, so Blackstone's interest in the company show its confidence that demand for private jet flights will increase.The U.S. private equity firm made an offer of $5.17 per Signature share, or £3.83 per Signature share, the aviation company said yesterday. That's 42% higher than its previous closing price.Signature said it had rejected a competing proposal at a lower price from Global Infrastructure Partners.
