The BlackRock Limited Duration Income Trust ( BLW ) is a closed-end fund that provides investors with a method through which they can obtain a very high level of income from fixed-income securities without taking on the duration risks that plague most securities in this segment of the market. As regular readers are likely well aware, I have become rather hostile towards bonds and other fixed-income securities over the past several months. This is partially because they have failed in their primary role of providing principal protection over the past decade.
