EQNR - BP Shell among partners in developing North Sea CO2 storage infrastructure
[[BP]] says it is partnering with Eni (E), Equinor (EQNR), National Grid (NGG), Royal Dutch Shell ([[RDS.A]], [[RDS.B]]) and Total (TOT) to develop carbon dioxide transport and storage infrastructure in the U.K. North Sea.The partnership has submitted a bid for government funding to develop an offshore pipeline network to transport captured CO2 emissions, to be stored in geological sites beneath the U.K. North Sea; the funds are part of the £170M ($221.7M) Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge, a component of the U.K. government's clean growth strategy.BP says it will lead the partnership as operator, with teams drawing on expertise from across all the partners.Chris Lau remains bullish on BP in a recent report posted on Seeking Alpha, citing valuation, a one-time Q2 impairment and the company's pivot to renewable energy.
