Brigham ( MNRL ) shares have climbed more than 20% YTD as it benefited from elevated energy prices, prompting founder and CEO Bud Brigham to consider a sale, according to the report.
The company owns oil and gas royalty interests in four of the major U.S. shale basins, with most of its acreage in the Permian Basin and the DJ Basin.
Brigham Minerals ( MNRL ) paid a fixed plus variable dividend that averaged 6.2% to Class A shareholders in 2021, and is aiming for a 75%-80% payout for 2022, Laura Starks wrote in a bullish analysis published earlier this year on Seeking Alpha .
