BCOV - Brightcove names new chief revenue officer

• Media streaming technology name Brightcove ( NASDAQ: BCOV ) has hired Dan Freund to join the company as its chief revenue officer on Aug. 1.
• Most recently, Freund served in the same role for Brandwatch, and had previously worked as chief sales officer for application development platform Quickbase, and spent 17 years at Oracle in sales leadership.
• At Brightcove, he'll be responsible for growing the company's global footprint, in charge of global sales and customer success organizations and leading the go-to-market strategy.
• “Dan is known for propelling high levels of growth, performance, and customer success for some of the world’s biggest technology companies," says Brightcove CEO Marc DeBevoise.
