• All eyes are on Brookfield Real Assets Income Fund (RA) to see if it continues its 4-year string of faithfully paying its $0.199 monthly distribution.
• It should announce it next week, if it sticks to its past schedule of declaring 3 months ahead.
• RA management has been sending upbeat signals about its distribution coverage, and the numbers from its annual report support the message.
• If it didn't cut six months ago, after its disastrous 2020 1st half, why would it cut now, after a gangbusters 2nd half where it reversed the 1st half losses?
• I'm inclined to hang in there, despite a bit of a feeling that the fund has gotten ahead of itself re its price and its premium (Yes, PREMIUM, after so long at a discount).
