BBW - Build-A-Bear Workshop guides for double-digit growth in fiscal 2022 profitability

Build-A-Bear Workshop ( NYSE: BBW ) has lifted the midpoint of its outlook for fiscal 2022, expecting to deliver the highest profitability in its 25-year history.

On a preliminary basis, the firm expects 2022 fiscal year revenues between $460M and $465M, compared to $455M-$465M previously. Analysts expect the firm to generate $460.37M revenue .

EBITDA is seen at $69.5M to $75.5M, an increase from its previous expectation of $69M-$76M. Capital expenditures is estimated between $12M-$14M.

The outlook takes into account anticipated ongoing inflationary pressures as well as the firm's plans to mitigate the impact on its margins.

CEO Sharon Price John commented: "We have continued to see positive momentum in our business throughout the current fourth quarter and combined with our record-breaking profit in the first nine-month period, we expect fiscal 2022 to deliver a double-digit increase in profitability compared to the prior year which would be the most profitable in our 25 years of operations, which comes on top of the previous record set in fiscal 2021. Our disciplined execution of our strategic model and key initiatives has allowed us to build a foundation that we believe can be leveraged for further profitable growth in 2023 and beyond."

The company expects to report full results for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2022 year in March 2023.
