The bill already passed the House of Commons earlier this year and just needs Royal Assent from the Governor General. Single-game sports betting could launch as early as this fall if everything goes well. Sports betting players with an interest in Canada include DraftKings (DKNG), Flutter Entertainment's (PDYPY) Fanduel, Entain Plc (GMVHF) and Great Canadien Gaming Corporation (GCGMF), Score Media and Gaming (TSCRF), Bragg Gaming Group (BRGGF) and FansUnite Entertainment (FUNFF) DraftKings ended the day near its session high after the development. Sports betting revenue is forecast to skyrocket in the U.S. as more states see The Roundhill Sports Betting & IGaming ETF (BETZ) holds some of the names with Canadian sports betting ambitions.
