Monday - May 15

• Volatility watch - Short interest on department store stocks Kohl's ( KSS ) and Nordstrom ( JWN ) is elevated ahead of upcoming earnings reports. Options trading volume is high in general on Vroom ( VRM ) and DISH Network ( DISH ). Options trading also implies a large share price move for Trevena ( TRVN ) following its earnings report on May 15.
• Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include XP ( XP ), Tower Semiconductor ( TSEM ), and Nu Holdings ( NU ).
• Data reports - Watch Roblox ( RBLX ) with the online game platform company expected to post its monthly metrics. Shares of Roblox have been volatile this year after the user and booking numbers have been released. Robinhood Markets ( HOOD ) could also release operating data for April, including assets under custody and trading volume.
• All day - 13F filings from hedge funds are due to be filed by the end of the day. The disclosures give investors an idea of where some of the big bets are being placed. A strategy of selecting just 10 of the 50 consensus stocks from large hedge funds has outperformed broad market averages over the last five years.
• 8:45 a.m. Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank President Raphael Bostic will give welcoming remarks before the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta 2023 Financial Markets Conference.
• 12:30 p.m. Richmond Federal Reserve Bank President Thomas Barkin will moderate a luncheon keynote before the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta 2023 Financial Markets Conference.
• 4:00 p.m. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will participate in a bipartisan discussion at the U.S. Capitol on the topic of AI and the future. OpenAI's ChatGPT has disrupted thinking on the integration of artificial intelligence into the business world.
