Monday - May 1

• Volatility watch - Short interest on electric vehicle stocks EVgo ( EVGO ), Faraday Future Intelligent ( FFIE ), and Blink Charging ( BLNK ) is elevated ahead of more earnings reports due out from the sector. Options trading volume is sky-high on First Republic Bank ( FRC ) and above normal levels for MediaAlpha ( MAX ).
• Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Arista Networks ( ANET ), On Semiconductor ( ON ), NXP Semiconductor ( NXPI ), MGM Resorts ( MGM ), and Global Payments ( GPN ). Options trading implies a double-digit swing in share price for Symbotic ( SYM ) and ZoomInfo Technologies ( ZI ) following their reports.
• Data reports - Chinese electric vehicle makers Nio ( NIO ), Li Auto ( LI ), and XPeng ( XPEV ) will report monthly deliveries. Also watch for the monthly updates on Macau gaming revenue, discount broker DARTs, and Class 8 truck sales. The latest batch of Nielsen data will also be analyzed to see to what extent Bud Light sales have trailed off in the U.S. following social media backlash. Shares of Anheuser-Busch InBev ( BUD ) are up about 9% year-to-date, but are off their highs from late March.
