VIACA - CBS News gets new leadership to combine with CBS TV stations in reorg
A revamp at CBS News ([[VIAC]] -0.5%, [[VIACA]] +0.4%) will see the organization and CBS Television Stations folded into one structure with unified leadership, with two new co-presidents. CBS Entertainment Group CEO George Cheeks has tapped Neeraj Khemlani and Wendy McMahon to lead the new division, and each are "coming home" to CBS in a way: Khemlani was a producer on 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes II, while McMahon spent years at WBZ Boston and WCCO Minneapolis. Khemlani was most recently executive VP and deputy group head at Hearst Newspapers, while McMahon was named president of ABC Owned Stations in 2017. The unified division will bring under one management structure the broadcast resources of CBS News, the 24/7 streaming news service CBSN, 10 CBSN Local platforms, Cbsnews.com and 28 CBS-owned stations in 17 major U.S. markets.
