SIGA - CDC announces emergency operations center for monkeypox
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on Tuesday the activation of an emergency operations center for monkeypox response in an attempt to monitor and coordinate its activities against the rare viral disease. Home to more than 300 staff, the center will bring together additional CDC personnel and resources for the response, the agency said. “CDC’s activation of the EOC allows the agency to further increase operational support for the response to meet the outbreak’s evolving challenges,” the CDC added.
