EQNR - Cheniere Equinor sign long-term LNG supply deal
Cheniere Energy (NYSE:LNG) said Thursday that Equinor (EQNR) has agreed to purchase 1.75M metric tons/year of liquefied natural gas for 15 years, starting in H2 2026. Cheniere (LNG) said half of the volume is subject to making a positive final investment decision to build additional liquefaction capacity at the Corpus Christi LNG Terminal beyond the seven-train Corpus Christi Stage 3 project. Last month, Cheniere (LNG) announced an agreement to purchase feedstock gas for Corpus Christi Stage 3. Priced at ~6x this year's free cash flow, Cheniere Energy (LNG) is "very well positioned to offer investors ample upside," Michael Wiggins de Oliveira writes in a bullish analysis published on Seeking Alpha.
