CPK - Chesapeake Utilities expands propane footprint with Western Natural Gas acquisition

Chesapeake Utilities' (CPK) propane subsidiary, Sharp Energy, has acquired Western Natural Gas Company in Florida. The deal was closed on October 26 and terms were not disclosed."Acquiring Western Natural Gas will assist us in meeting customer demand and expanding our propane distribution foundation in Florida", said Jeff Householder, President and CEO.Western Natural Gas provides propane service to ~4,000 customers and sells around 1M gallons of propane throughout four counties in northeast Florida.
