The Chevron Phillips ([[CVX]], [[PSX]]) petrochemical joint venture imported significant quantities of the toxic chemical benzene into the U.S. for several years without reporting it to regulators as required by law, Reuters reports.Chevron Phillips failed to immediately disclose "reportable quantities" of the chemical during 2013-20, according to a letter from the company's attorney to the non-profit Center For Environmental Health, which also said proper paperwork has since been filed to correct the issue.The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has fined companies in the past for similar violations, sometimes totaling in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.The CEH says it believes the company imported more than 350M lbs. of benzene without reporting it to the EPA during 2013-15; it does not have an estimate for unreported imports from 2015.Phillips 66 is "fairly valued and offers investors the opportunity to invest in a cyclical but long-term profitable dividend growth stock," Leo Nelissen writes in
