VANCOUVER – TheNewswire - December 18 ,2023 - China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. (TSX:CGG ) ; ( HKEX:2099) (“ C h i n a G o ldI n t e r na t i ona l R es o u r c e s ” o r t h e “ C o m p a n y ” ) is pleased to announce that thegradual resumption of certain operations at its Jiama Copper-Gold P olymetallic M ine ( the “ JiamaMine ”) has begun on December 15, 2023following the receipt of approval from the LhasaMunicipal Government , in line with previousannouncements in relation to the overflow at theGuolanggou T ailings D am at the Jiama M ine.
The resumption of operations includes the undergroundvoid management and the restart of the P hase I processing plant of the JiamaMine with a daily processing capacity of 6,000 tonnes. The tailingsproduced from processing operations will all be backfilled to theunderground voids through the backfilling system. The Company has carried out a planfor the full resumption of operations, and the restart of thePhase I processing plant is the first step inthe overall plan. The repair and reinforcement work at the GuolanggouTailings Dam has been fully completed, and the safety assessmentreport has been completed ,awaiting acceptance and approval by the government. The review process of the subsequent tailings discharge planis occurring simultaneously. The Company willcontinue to proceed towards the resumption of full production on itsdesign capacity at the Jiama Mine.
