Zolak/iStock via Getty Images Clearwater Analytics, a financial services software firm, is said to be evaluating a potential IPO that could value the company at $4B. Clearwater is working with Morgan Stanley on a possible IPO, though hasn't decided if it will purse a public offering or stay private, according to a Bloomberg report. Clearwater announced in October that it had received a new investment led by investment firms Permira, Warburg Pincus, Dragoneer Investment Group and Durable Capital. Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), which first invested in Clearwater in 2016, would remain the company’s majority shareholder, the company said at the time. Clearwater helps insurance companies, asset managers and others by providing investment accounting, reporting, and analytics. Software solution provider Intapp (INTA) went public late last month.
