CNS - Cohen & Steers AUM dips 3.8% in May hurt by market depreciation outflows

- Cohen & Steers ( NYSE: CNS ) preliminary assets under management of $77.9B at May 31, 2023 fell from $80.9B at April 30, due to market depreciation, net outflows, and distributions.
- Market depreciation accounted for $2.4B of the lower AUM, net outflows were $461M, and distributions were $181M during the quarter.
- Total institutional accounts AUM of $32.1B fell 3.5% during the month; open-end funds AUM of $35.1B dropped 4.4%, and closed-end funds AUM of $10.7B slipped 2.8%.
- May's total AUM decline of 3.8% followed April's 1.3% increases.
