CMC - Commercial Metals acquires anchoring solutions provider EDSCO Fasteners

- Commercial Metals Company ( NYSE: CMC ) on Thursday said it had acquired EDSCO Fasteners, a provider of anchoring solutions for the electrical transmission market.
- Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
- CMC purchased EDSCO from MiddleGround Capital.
- According to CMC, EDSCO uses rebar to make an engineered line of anchor cages, bolts, and fasteners that are primarily used to secure high voltage electrical transmission poles to concrete foundations.
- "EDSCO serves the North American market from four manufacturing plants located in Texas, Utah, Tennessee, and North Carolina," CMC said in a statement .
- Commercial Metals ( CMC ) stock earlier closed +0.6% at $55.94.
