HOFV - Communications stocks gain for week with fundamental catalysts driving action
Communications Services stocks gained with much of the rest of the market this week, rising 1.9% on a week when information technology names took the spotlight. And with the likes of AMC Entertainment actually declining modestly - it fell 3.9% this week after two straight weeks as a top-five gainer - the stocks that did stand out on the positive side had fundamental stories driving the price appreciation. Cellular broadband carrier AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) rose 25% this week topped the gainers (among stocks small-cap or larger) on the back of Deutsche Bank's starting coverage of the stock at Buy - and seeing 243% upside (though that as an average of four scenarios, one of which includes the stock headed to zero if the tech doesn't work out). Small cable/broadband provider WideOpenWest (WOW) rose 19% this week, jumping on Wednesday after a $1.78B deal to cut its debt by selling five service areas. And Russia-focused
