shulz/E+ via Getty Images The first half of the trading year is in the rear-view mirror, and for Communications Services stocks as a large group, the story of its high flyers is the story of the retail-trading revolution. AMC Entertainment (AMC), the country's largest movie-theater chain, became a favorite of Reddit's WallStreetBets forum and was easily the sector's top gainer for the second quarter (up 479%) and first half (up a staggering 2,410%). That, in spite of the chain spending much of the past year flirting with bankruptcy with revenues decimated by COVID-19 pandemic closures. And in the top-heavy Communications sector (dominated sizewise by trillion-dollar names Facebook (FB) and Google ([[GOOG]], [[GOOGL]])), a big list of smaller stocks provided more grist for retail rallies for gains. That included Chinese names such as Moxian ([[MOXC]], up 1,412% for the first half); Uxin Limited ([[UXIN]], up 319%); The9 Limited ([[NCTY]], up 295%);
