ACRHF - Connecticut poised to approve recreational marijuana

Both the Connecticut House and Senate have approved the bill, which if signed by Lamont as expected, would legalize recreational cannabis use in the state on July 1. Commercial sales could start as soon as May 2022, according to Marijuana Moment, though an exact date has yet to be determined. The legalization "will help eliminate the dangerous unregulated market and support a new, growing sector of our economy which will create jobs," Lamont said in a statement.
