Maxar Technologies (MAXR) is an interesting special situation investment. The company is reportedly exploring the sale of its MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates ((MDA)) unit, which is spinning off around $100M in EBITDA and enjoys significant, long-term government contracts in Canada for various defense-related applications.
