FOCS - Cortina Business to merge with Focus Financial partner firm

• Focus Financial Partners ( NASDAQ: FOCS ) said Tuesday Cortina Business Management, a boutique multifamily office and business manager, will join its partner firm Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman.
• Cortina Business provides family office and business management services to actors, entertainers, musicians and business executives.
• The merger with GR&F will provide Cortina Business with additional resources and infrastructure to enhance client service.
• The deal will expand GR&F's client base and its geographic presence in northeastern U.S.
• The merger is expected to close in Q1 2023.
• Note that earlier this month, Focus Financial ( FOCS ) received a non-binding proposal from buyout firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for $53/share .
• Last week, Raymond James downgraded Focus Financial ( FOCS ) to Market Perform as potential upside for its stock is limited by the offer .
