CTRA - Coterra Energy hires Talos finance exec Young to replace retiring CFO

Coterra Energy ( NYSE: CTRA ) said Thursday it selected Talos Energy ( TALO ) finance head Shannon Young as its new CFO effective September 30, succeeding Scott Schroeder, who is retiring after 28 years at Cabot Oil & Gas and Coterra.

Schroeder joined Cabot Oil & Gas in 1995 and became the company's as CFO in 2001.

Young has served in financial leadership roles at Talos, Cobalt International Energy and Sheridan Production Company, and spent time with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

Talos ( TALO ) named Sergio Maiworm Jr. as its new CFO , effective July 1.
