MSI - Credit Suisse 'Top of the Crop' list jumps to 9 names for September: At the Open
Credit Suisse ramps up the list of best-of-the-best stocks for September and is adding four new Top Outperform ideas. Credit Suisse Product Manager Andrew St. Pierre defines the "Top of the Crop" stocks as the "highest conviction combined with the least demanding market expectations." August saw the top list whittled down to two names, Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) and Equitable Holding (NYSE:EQH), and those remain for this month. But seven more also enter the picture. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) rejoins the Top of the Crop after dropping off in July, as does Advance Auto Parts (NYSE:AAP). IBM (NYSE:IBM) is back after dropping off last month. Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Motorola Solutions (NYSE:MSI), Hershey (NYSE:HSY) and Teck Resources (NYSE:TECK) round out the names. The "Top of the Crop" criteria are: High conviction calls: "Highest conviction Outperform ideas where CS analysts' estimates and target prices are above consensus and consensus is not overly bullish."
