BKNG - Cruise lines gain post Royal Caribbean earnings conference call
Carnival (CCL) gained 9%, while Royal Caribbean (RCL) jumped 11% post RCL Q4 results and some bullish comments from the conference call. Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH) rose 9.2%."There's a lot of pent up demand for vacations," Royal Caribbean CFO Jason Liberty said on the conference call.RCL CEO Richard Fain said that since early January the company is seeing more bookings from customers 65 years and older and that likely means as people get vaccinated they are becoming more comfortable with booking travel."That's something that we think is a major positive and obviously as the vaccine spread down into the population by age, but we'll see that probably accelerate," Fain said.Other reopening stocks also gaining today include casino operator Wynn Resorts (WYNN) up 5.2%, live concert company Live Nation Entertainment (LYV) gained 2.2%, theme park operator Six Flags (SIX) rose 7.5% and travel company Booking Holdings (BKNG) climbed 3.6%.Recall Feb. 17, Carrnival gains as Italian unit plans
