CUBA - CUBA Is Not A Closed-End Fund I Would Want To Own
- Almost like a 2014 Christmas present to the Castro government, President Obama opened the door to more US interaction and investments with the country of Cuba. Investors jumped onboard.
- Despite its name or ticker, this closed-end fund has few equities actually incorporated in the Caribbean basin. How that is possible is explained. Owning Cuban securities is illegal under federal law.
- As with its ticker namesake, there is not much to like about CUBA, and thus my Very Bearish rating if an investor was looking to diversify their equity allocation geographically.
