• Approximately one year after CVR Energy completely suspended their dividends, they have come roaring back with a massive special dividend that is worth over 20% of their current share price.
• One caveat to note is that it comprises a portion of cash and shares in Delek US Holdings.
• The exact breakdown remains open to market conditions, but my estimate places it currently at a near equal 50/50 split between cash and shares.
• Not only can this be afforded without hurting their financial health but they also have scope to begin paying consistent dividends once operating conditions stabilize.
• These potential future consistent dividends could easily be upwards of 10% on current cost and thus I believe that a bullish rating is appropriate.
