DPSTF - DHL Express orders electric Eviation planes plans to build first electric network
International courier DHL Express is Seattle-based startup Eviation's first customer. DHL, a unit of logistics company Deutsche Post (OTCPK:DPSTF), has placed an order for 12 of Eviation's electric cargo planes and wants to build the first electric air freight network. Eviation plans to undergo its first flight later this year and deliver the aircraft in 2024. The planes will have a maximum range of 500 miles and a cargo load of up to 2,600 pounds. The charge time per flight will be 30 minutes, about the same amount of time it takes to refuel a similar traditional plane. "We strongly believe in the zero-emission future of logistics," said DHL Express CEO John Pearson. "Together we are venturing into a new decade of sustainable aviation."
