We live in a society where two prevailing mindsets continue to persist.

One is the belief that individuals need to get specialized, become an expert in a very narrow field, but understand the complete depth of it. The others believe that people should have a more holistic approach, not necessarily becoming an expert in anything, but having a depth of knowledge across a wide domain of topics.
