MGMB - Disney delays several films to second half; James Bond film delayed again
Major films that were postponed last year into 2021 were thought to buy some time for studios and theaters to get beyond the COVID-19 outbreak - but still more high-profile delays arriving today are a reminder that the road back is even longer than expected. Walt Disney (DIS +0.7%) is moving its films under the former Fox banners (20th Century Studios and Searchlight releases) out of the first half of 2021. That includes The King's Man (moving from March 12 to Aug. 20 in the latest of several postponements), and Ron's Gone Wrong (moved from April 23 to Oct. 22). Bob's Burgers, a film based on the animated television hit, was set for April 9 but has been pulled off the release calendar outright.
