D - Dominion Energy cuts Q2 operating EPS guidance sees extremely mild weather

Dominion Energy ( NYSE: D ) -2.3% pre-market Friday after lowering guidance for Q2 operating earnings to reflect the estimated impact of historically mild weather and unplanned outages at the Millstone nuclear power station in Connecticut.
Dominion ( D ) now sees Q2 earnings of $0.44-$0.50/share, below original guidance of $0.58-$0.68/share and $0.65 analyst consensus estimate, and said it is not providing full-year guidance until its investor event during Q3.
The company said it expects extremely mild weather in its electric service territories will hit Q2 operating earnings by $0.07-$0.09/share, as Q2 weather is forecast to be the mildest relative to normal over the last 50 years.
