DBX - Dropbox CEO says engagement with Elliott has been `friendly'

Our "conversations have been friendly," Houston said in an interview on CNBC. "There's no indication that this is an activist engagement." Dropbox has been named as a potential activist target over the past year, specifically earlier this eyar when a 13-F filing from UBS showed that the bank had picked up 7.7M shares of Dropbox in Q2. Last May, Elliott took a stake in Dropbox, according to a 13F filing at the time. Dropbox's short interest is 9.6%. Last month, Dropbox gains after Elliott Management is said to take sizeable stake.
