DBX - Dropbox shares gain after insider buy activist investor speculation
Dropbox (DBX) director Robert Mylod bought 100,000 shares on Wednesday at a $2.45M purchase price, according to a regulatory filing. Mylod, who founded VC firm Annox Capital Management and joined the DBX board in 2014, hadn't made any open-market transaction since 2019 and that was a small sale.The purchase comes as Dropbox shares sit at a new 52-week high.Dealreporter is back out today speculating about potential activist interest behind the scenes at Dropbox.Last May, Dealreporter noted that Nomura, a common counterparty for activist swap positions, had acquired a stake in Dropbox. DBX shares are currently up 5% to $26.75.Earlier this week, Dropbox acquired DocuSend for $165M to bolster its fast-growing HelloSign business
