• Eagle Point Credit Company (ECC) is a BDC that invests in the equity and junior tranches of Collateralized Loan Obligations, the higher risk segments of the CLO market.
• Fixed Income investors looking for 5%+ yields must accept risks today they wouldn’t have had to prior to the 2008 Great Recession which collapsed safer CD yields to below inflation.
• ECC offers three debt securities which offer solid yields with less risk than owning the equity of the issuer.  While all three are briefly covered, my preference is ECCY.
