EC - Ecopetrol plans $3.5B-$4B capex for 2021

Ecopetrol S.A. American Depositary Shares
Ecopetrol ([[EC]] -1.0%) says its board of directors approved a 2021 organic investment plan for $3.5B-$4B, with the intent of focusing on the execution of key asset development plans and the preservation of asset value.Ecopetrol says 80% of planned capex will be allocated to projects in Colombia, while the remaining 20% will be invested mainly in the development of projects in the U.S. and Brazil.The company forecasts 2021 production of 700K-710 K bbl/day, a greater joint refining throughput of 340K-365K bbl/day and transported volumes more than 1M bbl/day, with plans to climb to ~750K bbl/day by 2023.
