EC - Ecopetrol takes $1B loan through credit agreements
Ecopetrol S.A. American Depositary Shares
Ecopetrol ( NYSE: EC ) on Wednesday said it entered into a $1 billion credit agreement with The Bank of Nova Scotia and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, as part of its debt management strategy and refinancing of 2023 maturities.
The company said Bank of Nova Scotia would provide $700 million and Sumitomo Mitsui will facilitate the remaining $300 million.
The loan has a term of five years commencing on the signing date, subject to certain conditions.
