EF EnergyFunders Ventures, Inc.appoints Arnold Moreno as President and Chief InvestmentOfficer
January 2, 2023 – TheNewswire- Calgary, Alberta – EF EnergyFundersVentures, Inc. (the “ Corporation ”) (TSXV:EFV) is pleased to announce thatArnold Moreno has been appointed by the Corporation’s directors toserve as President and Chief Investment Officer. Additionally, itswholly-owned subsidiary, EnergyFunders LLC (“ EnergyFunders ”),has entered into an employment agreement (the “ Moreno Employment Agreement ”) with Mr. Moreno to act as President and Chief InvestmentOfficer.
Pursuant to the terms of the Moreno EmploymentAgreement, Mr. Moreno will serve in the capacity as President andChief Investment Officer of EnergyFunders. EnergyFunders may terminatethe Moreno Employment Agreement at any time with or without cause.Subject to approval of the TSXV, at Mr. Moreno’s option, theCorporation may issue common shares of the Corporation, provided thatMr. Moreno has been continuously employed through December 19, 2023,with a value of US$25,000, at a deemed price based on the 10-dayvolume weighted average price of the common shares on the paymentdate.
Mr. Moreno is an experienced oil and gas professionalwith over 25 years of oil & gas industry and energy investmentbanking expertise with a focus on client service, upstream andmidstream property acquisitions and divestitures, valuation, mergers,deal origination and reservoir engineering. He has a combinedadvisory experience of over $45 billion in asset and corporateadvisory value both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Moreno is the former Head of Acquisitions &Divestitures and Technical for the Americas, Energy Investment Bankingat BofA Securities, Inc. where he led a multi-faceted team ofengineers and geologists in providing technical & financialvaluations and risk assessments of asset portfolios for sell-side andbuy-side mandates, acquisitions and divestitures intelligence andmarket trends, deal origination and structures. He previously workedas Vice President, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Global NaturalResources at Goldman Sachs, focusing on public and private companyscreenings to identify merger of equals, spin-merge and acquisitiontargets on behalf of the firm's upstream and midstream clients.
Prior to energy investment banking, Mr. Moreno workedmore than 17 years on the exploration and production side of thebusiness in leadership positions for a variety of companies includingQuantum Resources Management, QR Energy (MLP), H.J. Gruy andAssociates, Inc., and Torch Energy Advisors, Inc. He is a graduateof The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in PetroleumEngineering and holds a FINRA Series 24, 79 and 63 licenses.
