Shares of El Pollo Loco ( NASDAQ: LOCO ) raced higher after Thursday’s close on the heels of better-than-expected Q1 results that included a 5.1% increase in comparable restaurant sales and 17.3% gain in franchise revenue, beating expectations for a 3.2% increase in comparable restaurant sales. Company operating restaurant revenue was down 0.7%, however, as the sale of 18 company-operated restaurants to existing franchisees cost $5M in revenue....
